Monday, December 18, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. Katenies is set to appear before the colonial Ontario Court, Provincial Division, 29 Second Street West, Cornwall Ontario.
Background: Katenies is a Kanion'ko:haka/Mohawk Woman Title Holder who lives in Akwesasne. She refused to allow colonial laws to be applied to her. She is fighting for the right to move about freely on her land to conduct national, family and business relations in a normal way. She is demanding that her nationality and citizenship be respected. Canada follows laws that come from Britain. The Kaianereh'ko:wa is the law of Turtle Island.
- November 13, 2003 Katenies was arrested on a false report by customs officers.
- January 19, 2004 Katenies challenged Canada to prove it's jurisdiction over her and her land. No response.
- August 16, 2004 Katenies filed a default Judgment by Retraxit to stop any more action due to the Canada's non-answer to her question.
- September 22, 2004 Katenies was charged with not appearing and contempt.
- November 18th 2005 Katenies' daughter was harassed by five customs officers at the Cornwall Island port.
- November 24th 2006 Katenies was arrested by Canada Border goons on her way to Ottawa to deliver a complaint to the Canadian Human Rights Commission on this issue.
